The Coral Negro Market, literally translated as Black Coral, is a small arts and crafts market in the heart of the hotel district on Km 9 of Boulevard Kukulcán.
This is the place to find yourself a sarape - a colourful Mexican poncho handmade from wool or cotton - to strut about in, or perhaps even a charro outfit that traditional Mexican horse riders wear, involving a short jacket, tight trousers and a wide-rimmed sombrero.
