One of the top 20 international marathons, Florence stages men's and women's events, as well as a special mini-run (Ginky Run) for kids, all in front of a supportive crowd.

Over 6000 athletes tackle one of the world's most picturesque marathon routes. The race starts at Piazzale Michelangelo and crosses the Ponte alla Vittoria, then follows a course past Piazza Poggi, Piazza della Repubblica and ends at Piazza Santa Croce, just 200 metres from the starting gate in the centre of town.

Interested participants can download an online registration form from the marathon's website. Entries must be made by 15 November 2007.
