The European Jumping Championship takes place in Rimini's San Patrignano equestrian facility, also the largest European drug rehabilitation centre. Twenty-two teams compete to earn the title of European Champion, currently held by Germany. Speed, obstacles, jump-offs against the clock and group competitions are all part of the event.

In 25 years, San Patrignano has taken in over 18,000 young people, thousands of young boys and girls who have now left drugs behind them for a better life. The horses play a therapeutic role and represent a tool which can help its guests in overcoming their problems. They are and will always be a constant presence in the community. Thanks to their fantastic achievements, including victories at the World Championships, the Olympic Games and at many international show jumping events, San Patrignano has spread its human and social message all over the world.
