The Triskel Arts Centre and the Millennium Hall in Cork city host the Frank O'Connor Short Story Festival, celebrating the genius of the man and the literary form that made him famous.
The festival started in 2000 and since then has seen contributions by Richard Ford, Julia O'Faolain, James Lasdun, Alasdair Gray, Dan Rhodes, Eugene McCabe, Bernard MacLaverty, James Plunkett, Ludmila Ulitskaya, Rebecca Miller, Anne Enright, Mike McCormick, Eilis Ní Dhuibhne, Cónal Creedon, David Marcus, Panos Karnezis, Nisha da Cunha, William Wall, Bret Anthony Johnston, David Means, Claire Keegan and many others.
