Ballina comes alive for the Ballina Salmon Festival and Ballina Street and Arts Festival, a jam-packed week of family fun.
Things kick off with the Opening Ceremony, when the streets fill with colour and music. Other events include a triathlon, historical walking tours, krazy kart races, tea dances and a teddy bears picnic (for the children).
All the festivities culminate with Mardi Gras Day, when the streets are filled with fire-eaters and stiltwalkers and there's a celebratory firework display over the river.
