The AIG Europe Champion Hurdle at Leopardstown Racecourse is a recognised Smurfit Champion Hurdle (Cheltenham Festival) trial.
Built in 1888 and modelled on Sandown Racecourse in England, Leopardstown is Dublin's racecourse and sits six miles south of the city centre. Set in beautiful surroundings at the foothills of the Dublin mountains, it is a pleasure to visit and is recognised as one of Europe's premier racecourses. On race days, thousands of turf-lovers flock to the course to enjoy one of the nation's favourite pastimes.
