This two-hour walking tour of Dublin (meeting at The International Bar, 23 Wicklow St) takes you to the sites where the most significant incidents of the 1916 uprising occurred.

In 1916 an attempt was made by a small group of militant Irish Republicans to win independence from the UK, in an event that has become known as the Easter Rising. Key points in Dublin were seized and an Irish Republic was declared, leading to a brutal suppression by British forces.

Experts relate the political and military events of that infamous week in vivid fashion.

Please note: there are no tours on St Patrick's Day (17 March) or Good Friday (Mar/Apr).
