Palaiochora is a small fishing town situated on the south-western shore of the island of Crete, not far from the longest gorge in Europe, the stunning Farángi Samariás.
Each year it hosts a long summer festival with puppet theatre performances and traditional music and dance to discover, plus classical music recitals and art exhibitions.
