The Museum of Greek Folk Art in Plaka displays costumes, embroidery, jewellery, ceramics, arms and folk theatre artefacts from around Greece. Don't miss the Theofilis Room, decorated with fanciful, 19th-century frescoes from a house on the island of Lesvos.

The Museum of Greek Folk Art features an extensive collection that highlights the origins of modern popular Greek culture. The museum also organises educational programmes and a series of seasonal events to revive traditional customs, and is home to a large archive and library.
