Aliki's sandy beach has its own midsummer celebration, where the fit and healthy jump over stacks of burning May Day wreaths and musicians play local songs with traditional musical instruments. People dance and sing around the fire while Tsipouro (original local Greek ouzo) and octopus on the coal fuel the festivities.
