Held every two years, the Dionysia wine tasting event brings more than 100 Greek wine producers to Zappeion Megaron in Athens.

The climate of Attica and many parts of Greece is ideal for winemaking. The modernisation of wine-making facilities has led to new varieties gaining wide respect among connoisseurs, surpassing the retsina stereotype image of the past.

Dionysia has been organised by Vinetum since 2001. With an emphasis on wine tasting, it attracts around 5000 visitors.
