The little village of Elos shows off its chestnuts, with a special day devoted to sweet and savoury delicacies and traditional local entertainment.
The Chestnut Festival is held in Elos in the Ennio Khoria (9 Villages) district near Kissamos. It is on around the October 15th each year but confirm this date locally before you go.
