Set in a well-preserved Moorish Bathhouse, the Gibraltar Museum is a comprehensive guide to the Rock's history. Visit the Passage of Time Gallery, which delves into Gibraltar's prehistoric past, and the Great Siege Room with weapons from the 18th century.

The museum holds a vast display of artefacts, weapons, medals, ceramics, coins and postage stamps, as well as an extensive collection of bones, stone tools and other items of immense archaeological value.

There is also an incredibly detailed Rock Model made over three years (from 1865) by the officers of the Royal Engineers. It occupies most of largest gallery and every window in every single building on the Rock at the time is included.

There are also galleries devoted to the wildlife of Gibraltar, an Egyptian Mummy found floating in the local bay, plus a 15-minute film, The Story of Gibraltar.
