Tripsdrill Theme Park, established in 1929, was Germany's first adventure park. Situated in the Stromberg-Heuchelberg nature park, it is surrounded by green fields and forest and puts the focus on originality, authenticity and quality, rather than size.
Long before the so-called pleasure-driven society took over in Germany, people were regularly enjoying Sundays here. Nowadays, over 100 attractions include adventurous rides such as the Thunder Box, the Mill-Stream ride for children and the Splashy Sea Ride.
Two roller coasters pass through the authentic medieval castle, Rauhe Klinge, based on a number of castles in the area. Altweibermühle, or The Old Women's Mill, is Tripsdrill's oldest attraction, modelled on the 17th-century myth of a mill which gave women youth and beauty...
Finally, why not round the day off with a look at The Vinarium, a museum that boasts Germany´s largest collections of wood spindle presses, or a meal at one of the original restaurants, offering Swabian specialities from Fladenblooz and Maultaschen (pasta squares) to venison steak.
