This German Snowboarding Association contest features a Snowboard Cross competition. Set in the heart of the Black Forest at Feldberg, it is organised by the Black Forest Support Group.
In snowboard cross, the competitors race simultaneously down an obstacle-filled track. This snow version of Motocross is very exciting to watch, and anything can happen with four to six riders on the course at once. The races are around one minute long, through a twisting and turning course that drops some 200 metres.
These German competitions are the breeding ground for future profesional snowboarders, so keep your eyes peeled for the up-and-coming stars of the sport.
