One of Germany's most popular theme parks, Holiday Park near the Rhineland-Palatinate town of Hassloch draws thousands of visitors to its vast area of park and woodland, filled with attractions and shows.
The Free Fall Tower was the first of its kind in Europe. It takes riders 70 metres above the ground before an adrenalin-fuelled free fall. Take on Thunder River and experience rapid river rafting in unsinkable boats, or get equally wet on the Devil's Barrels, where you shoot down a 20-metre water chute. The park's must-ride is Superwirbel, a corkscrew coaster that takes you through 23-metre double spirals with an average speed of 80km/h.
There is a whole range of calmer, yet no less exciting, attractions. These include castle tours, canal rides and little trains running through the garden landscape. Children's World features all sorts of different attractions for kids.
The park also features a variety of shows during the day, including Show-Theatre, Street Entertainment, Jungle Stage and Aquastadium, a waterski show with stunts, comedy and unbelievable acrobatics. A number of restaurants, cafés and snack points offer a range of local and international food.
