The Festival Son Cuba brings the smooth Cuban vibe to various German cities including Munich, Berlin, Stuttgart, Koblenz, Karlsruhe, Hannover, Cologne and Hamburg.

The Son Cubano is Cuba's very own speciality and the country's most vivid musical form, a mixture of the song tradition of the Spanish colonial masters and the rhythm of the African slaves, representing joie de vivre despite the hardship of everyday life. Cuban Son switches between lyrical son, fast Guaracha, romantic Bolero, swinging Mambo and Cha Cha Cha.

Highlights of the 2005 festival include performances by Marialy Pacheco, Sax Magic Quartet, the Mayelin Perez Grupo and guitarist Pancho Amat. Please visit the Son Cuba website for full details.
