The Evian Masters is a relative newcomer on the LPGA Tour, but a prize purse of US$2.1 million already makes it the world's richest women's golf event after the US Open.

Now in its 15th year, the 72-hole tournament is played at the exclusive Domaine du Royal Golf Club, Evian, surrounded by stunning Alpine scenery and located on the shores of Lake Geneva.

Top women golfers from more than 20 different countries battle it out for the title. Among them are defending champion Karrie Webb and American prodigy Michelle Wie.
