The Journées de la Rose is a weekend event held every June in the gardens of the Royal Abbey of Chaalis. Thousands visit the forest-enclosed château, where poets and painters have found inspiration over the centuries, to enjoy the beauty and scent of thousands of roses.

The rose is celebrated in all its guises with lectures, exhibitions, rose markets and horticulturalists offering top tips and growing tricks.
