Every year, the little town of Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne celebrates its Strawberry Festival. A variety of amusing and slightly mad strawberry-based events keep locals and visitors busy.
Markets sell everything from strawberries to, erm, strawberry-inspired products, as well as local delicacies. When you feel that you can't eat any more strawberries, there are plenty of strawberry-influenced street parties, fairs and competitions to keep you occupied until the main event...an attempt to build an absolutely immense strawberry tart, which is then swiftly devoured by the hungry public.
