The narrow streets of the ancient town of Besse, in the shadow of Mont Dore, host this annual wine and cheese fair.
Patrons can sample the four major cheeses of the Auvergne - St Nectaire, Cantal, Bleu de Laqueueille and Fourme d'Ambert. If this makes you thirsty, don't worry. Sixty or so vintners from the wine-growing regions of France are also in attendance.
