Viitasaari's Time of Music festival presents the latest developments in East European art music.
If the concert venues (which include riverbanks, birch groves and chapels) give you a taste for the Finnish outdoors, Viitasaari is handily situated a short coach ride away from Pyhä-Häkki, a national park containing about 15km of trails, where you can hike to your heart's content.
