Soda is where hip Helsinki-ites head to chill out by day and party by night.
The club consists of two very funky parts: an upstairs bar and a downstairs club. By day, the upstairs has a fairly constant traffic of trendy types reading newspapers and supping capuccinos. By night, it's full of trendy types ignoring newspapers and supping (expensive) vodka cocktails.
Local DJs show off their skills each night in the bar: music is very eclectic and usually includes a taster of lounge, acid jazz, soul, funk and deep house (often in one night). Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays are the promoted club nights that are guaranteed to fill the space downstairs.
Soda has quickly carved itself as the place to be, so get there before the 10pm kick off if you want to be sure to get in.
