Pori's annual jazz festival has earned itself an excellent reputation for top-quality music. The celebrations centre on the scenic parklands on the banks of the Kokemäki River, Jazz Street and old factory buildings.

Over 100 concerts and other events at ten different venues are attended by around 130,000 people. Highlights of the 2008 line-up include Mary J Blige, Shaggy and the San Francisco Jazz Collective featuring Joe Lovano and Dave Douglas.
