The Lenin Museum opened on January 20, 1946, to coincide with the anniversary of Lenin's death. It is located on the premises of the Workers' Association, the same hall where Lenin and Stalin met for the first time in a secret meeting of the Russian Social Democratic Workers' Party in 1905. Two permanent exhibitions are on show exploring Lenin's life and Lenin and Finland. In addition there are special exhibitions throughout the year.
