The Birgitta Festival at Tallinn's St Birgitta Convent celebrates musical theatre. Torches light the medieval passageways, offering an atmospheric experience within the ancient walls.
The Russian Imperial Ballet and Mosco Novaya Opera are the main guests in 2008. There is a production of musical comedy Don Juan and a performance by violinist Gidon Kremer, while the ballet stage features Russian classics and Oriental exotics.
