The sound and light shows at the Pyramids of Giza happen every night and bring alive the amazing history of these 5000 year-old monuments to the dead Pharoahs of Ancient Egypt.
The sound and light show was first performed in 1961. It begins with the story of The Sphinx who has been the vigilant guardian of the city of the dead for 5000 years. The show depicts the story of building the pyramids of Keops, Kephren, Mykerinos and relates the history of great and famous figures of ancient Egypt such as Thutmosis IV, Akhnaten, Nefertiti and Tut Ankh Amon.
Shows take place in English, French, German, Italian, Japanese and Arabic. Please check the website in advance to select a show with your language. Private shows (of 100+ spectators) can be booked in advance.
