This colourful celebration of folkloric art from Africa, Europe and Asia in Ismailia claims to be the greatest arts festival in the Arab world.
After an opening parade, shows continue pretty much non-stop for seven days, with high-energy performances from around the world. The sheer energy of the singing and dancing of the various tribal groups in this part of the world has to be seen to be believed.
