Due to its close proximity to the desert and its colourful mountains and canyons, Hurghada is one of the best locations from which to embark on a desert safari.

Excursions vary in lengh, from half a day to four or five days, but longer trips may be negotiated. Visitors can also choose their preferred mode of transport from camels, horses, quads and 4x4 vehicles.
