Cairo's American Research Center (ARC) has long hosted Wednesday evening lectures by academics, mostly in the field of Egyptology, Egyptian, Islamic and Coptic history. You may also find slots on recent archaeological finds made by the ARC Antiquities Development Project.
The ARC also organises field trips and publishes a distinguished academic journal. Scholars may be granted use of the centre's extensive library of Egyptology books and manuscripts.
