Named after the 16th-century astronomer, the Tycho Brahe Planetarium in Copenhagen V transports visitors through the universe - culminating in an immersive IMAX 360° Space Theatre cinema experience. There is also a changing programme of temporary exhibitions.

Bring the family to discover everything you ever wanted to know about astronomy and space travel, as well as where and when to spot meteor showers, planetary alignments and eclipses.

If you are currently saddled with a particularly curious child, bring them to the public outreach centre to hear answers to questions like "Why is the sky blue?" Children will also enjoy the permanent exhibition in the Tycho Hall (Tycho Brahe was a great Danish astronomer who used the planet Mars to determine relative positions of planets and stars). The exhibition has interactive models of aspects of the universe which light up and flash.

The huge dome screen offers four new films per year and you are guaranteed a total sensory experience - a sense of being right there. Themes are often drawn from nature, with awesome footage of mountains, volcanoes and towering ravines.
