Every summer the beautiful open-air amphitheatre in Jels goes back in time to host a Viking Chronicle.
The amphitheatre was opened in the 1950s and has been in use ever since. In 1977 the first Viking chronicle, Roar and Helge, was staged and since then one has been performed every summer, together with the display of a Viking longboat on the lake.
The show is in Danish, but non-speakers should enjoy the spectacle nonetheless.
