Step back in time as the Danish city of Horsens becomes a bustling village from the Middle Ages. Locals dress up in 15th-century garb, knights go head-to-head in gruelling tournaments and the streets come alive with history.
Held over two days, the festival features entertainment for all the family. While the highlight is the knights' tournament, concerts, theatre, falconry, puppetry and a medieval wedding are all added to the mix.
The event has a genuinely authentic feel and the organisers have gone to great pains to ensure that even the finest details have a traditional touch. There are no plastic drinking cups here - handmade medieval cups only.
