Copenhagen Marathon

During the Copenhagen Marathon you can kill two birds with one stone: get fit and see the sights of the city. Alternatively, join the noisy crowds and encourage the competitors along their way.

As a visitor it's worth participating, as the course passes interesting places and is (fortunately) flat. Awards are given for the top three finishers in each age group and all runners completing the race within six hours receive a commemorative medal and finisher´s certificate.

The start and finish of the run is at Vester Voldgade near the city hall and the award ceremony takes place at 4pm in the famous Tivoli gardens.
