Aarhus Botanical Gardens were established in 1873 and comprise some of the oldest green spaces in the city. Gently rolling wooded hills lead down to a lake, while the greenhouses offer a great diversity of tropical plants all year round.
Five hothouses with different climates cover a large area, with more than 4000 species on display. The palmhouse is the largest and stands more than 13 metres high.
