The Days of European Film were first held in 1994. Bringing together the best of European feature films and shorts, the Prague leg of the event takes over the Svetozor and Aero cinemas, before moving on to Brno.

The festival also breaks the boundaries of the European Union (current and imminent members), including films from the wider continent, and features some 40 feature films and ten shorts every year. In 2007 there is also a focus on Digital Technologies in Filmmaking, with Czech and foreign experts participating.

Films are often shown with English subtitles, but in any case, all are simultaneously translated into Czech via headphones.

Please contact the cinemas for tickets.
