Housed in the constructivist Veletrní Palace, Prague National Gallery's modern collections offer a history of modern and contemporary Czech art. Three floors of the building are devoted to the permanent collection of Czech art from the 19th and 20th centuries, while a temporary exhibition programme regularly refreshes what there is to see. Stunningly set in a controversial building, originally built in the 1920s but rebuilt in 1995 after destruction by fire, it is well worth the visit.
