The AghaRTA is a great place to enjoy live jazz. Close to Staromestske Namesti (Old Town Square) in the heart of Prague, the club is named after an album by Miles Davis, who died the day before it opened in 1991.
The jazz record shop is well stocked, and the owners run ARTA Records - the largest Czech jazz label - and ARTA Music, which publishes sheet music. The bar serves the best coffee in Prague and from 9pm onwards you can enjoy live modern jazz and blues every night of the week.
The venue is also the founder of the annual AghaRTA Prague Jazz Festival, which attracts performers from all over the world.
