This international festival of film, video and new media is held at venues around Split, including the Cultural Centre and the Zlatna vrata Film Library.

Presenting new and sometimes radical creations of all genres and durations, the festival supports the experimental. Entries are preferably from outside the mainstream and are accepted regardless of whether they were made on a shoestring budget or as a studio release, involving traditional film techniques or the latest technology.

Selected works are screened during the course of the festival and there are installations, internet projects, performances, retrospectives, workshops and round tables for both professionals and enthusiasts.

The best works in each category are awarded a Grand Prix, the audience selects the best work from a special programme, and there are numerous cash awards. The event has been held since 1996 and is a member of the European Co-ordination of Film Festivals.
