This international festival of modern dance, theatre, movement and mime was established in 1983 by the Croatian Institute for Movement and Dance. Once again this year the Zagreb Youth Theatre, Gavella Drama Theatre and the Croatian National Theatre host a series of performances from local and international dance groups.
The programme includes a broad range of dance activity from international performers such as the Batsheva Dance Company from Israel, Akram Khan from the UK, Marco Berrettini from France, Xavier Le Roy from Germany and Emil Hrvatin from Slovenia.
There are also new works by a new generation of Croatian choreographers. Companies include Tala, Zagreb Dance Ensemble, Trafik, Bad Co and Histeria Nova. In addition, a special segment of the festival entitled Next Step is a British Council Dance Showcase featuring CandoCo, Protein, R Hyton, h2dance, Ricochet, Walker Dance, P Gehmacher and Carol Brown.
Tickets can only be purchased at the box office at the Gavella Theatre at 8 Frankopanska, Zagreb.
