The Just for Laughs festival in Montreal takes its comedy very seriously indeed. Each year, more than a million people attend shows featuring over 2000 performers from around the globe, performed in both English and French on indoor and outdoor stages around Montreal's Latin Quarter.
Dubbed the "Cannes of Comedy", the world famous showcase has provided a platform for performers as diverse as Milton Berle and Jim Carey over the years. There is all you ever wanted to laugh at and more, including stand-up, sketches, film shorts, animation (The Simpsons premièred here), industry seminars and special themed shows.
