The Golden Chest International Television Festival takes place at various venues in the Bulgarian city of Plovdiv. Founded in 1968 by the TV Drama Department of Bulgarian National Television, it is now one of the country's most important cultural events.

Film screenings are divided into three categories: TV Films and Series for Adults, TV Films and Series for Children and Adolescents, and TV Documentaries and Current Reports. Every year world famous directors and actors, TV experts and producers attend the event, along with a panel of international judges.

Side events include the presentation of other international festivals and forums, press conferences and meetings with authors and producers.
