A stroll around Bermuda's Botanical Gardens takes in palmetto trees in the palm garden, an array of orchids and bromeliads in the greenhouses and fruits unknown to most of us in the subtropical fruit garden.
There is also a garden for the blind and the official residence for the Premier of Bermuda, Camden House (although she doesn't actually reside there).
Built in the early 1700s, Camden House is a grand example of typical Bermudian architecture and holds a fine collection of art and antiques. It is open for visits on Tuesday and Friday between midday and 2pm, and it is worth trying to combine a visit to the Botanical Gardens with a free tour inside.
