The Cactus Festival has been serving up eclectic outdoor concerts for more than 20 years in Bruges' Minnewaterpark, also known as the Lake of Love Park. Headlining this year's festival are The B-52's, Starsailor and Youssou N'Dour.

Other highlights include Dinosaur Jr, Bootsy Collins & the Hardest Working Band, Tinariwen and The Kills. The festival programme consistently offers up unusual and interesting bands - opting for just one stage to keep the affair intimate, inviting just a limited number of groups and ensuring each one gets a chance to play their best and are not harried by hectic fly-in, fly-out festival timetables.

The organisers like to alternate big-name musicians with up-and-coming innovators to ensure a good mix, and the event embraces rock, reggae, rap, roots, rai, R&B, all rolled together in three days of festival mayhem.
