Benenwerk, or legwork, transforms Bruges into one giant ballroom. First, get a few foxtrot, tango, salsa or street dancing steps under your belt by following an instructor on stage, then let loose as the whole city becomes your dance floor.
Age and competence are completely irrelevant here. You'll agree once you get started and look around you to find hundreds of punters twirling their fingers in the air simultaneously to a basic but credible flamenco choreography.
You can switch styles and eras by visiting the many participating venues throughout the city, some outdoors, others not. Please visit the organiser's website for a list of venues and starting times.
