The Basilica of the Holy Blood is a showcse for the sublime craftsmanship that Flanders was famous for. The Basilica's history stretches back to the 12th century, only gaining the rank of basilica in 1923.
A phial of Christ's blood is said to be contained in the chapel but there is more to see than just that, the museum contains numerous artworks and curiosities.
