Oistins Fish Festival

Oistins is the main fishing town in Barbados, and each Easter this festival offers a programme which spans every aspect of fishing.

Visitors can enjoy boat racing, fish boning and greasy pole competitions, a Coastguard Exhibition, food stalls, arts and crafts, dancing, singing and road races.

This is a chance to hear Caribbean music and dance up an appetite for traditional Bajan fare, from fish cakes to fried fish, pudding and souse, all washed down with a cool Banks Beer. It's also an opportunity to meet the fishing community and their dramatic prey - tuna, shark, red snapper, flying fish, wahoo and barracuda.
