The Dhakeshwari Temple (aka Dhakeshwari Jatiya Mandir or National Temple) in Dhaka is an 11th-century Hindu temple and the most important place of Hindu worship in Bangladesh. As well as regular day-long prayers, each year the temple hosts the festival of Durga Puja, attracting thousands of worshippers and dignitaries from the President to media celebrities.
