An attraction in its own right, a shopping trip to the crystal-studded Swarovski Kristallwelten in Wattens, near Innsbruck, is like stepping into a giant Austrian jewel box.
Before you reach the boutique, you'll pass the Crystal Dome, where 590 mirrors create a kaleidoscopic effect, and the 3D Planet of Crystals. After the full-on crystal experience, you get to purchase your own piece of sparkle in the ultramodern shop designed by Terence Conran.
