Turreted Schloss Rosenburg serves up a melange of Renaissance architecture and classical music during its annual series of candlelight concerts.
For over 20 years summer performances have brought aspiring young talent and acclaimed artists to the fore. Lighting up the balmy evenings, the 2007 programme features works by Vivaldi (19 May), a puppet cabaret (2 June), two piano concerts (22 & 29 September) and a Chopin concert (6 October).
The castle itself is well worth a visit, with its lofty towers and dreamy views of the Kamptal valley. Highlights include the twice-daily bird of prey shows.
